Wake up People against pollution

Most of India's rivers are dangerously polluted, water is not fit for consumption. Many north Indian cities air is dangerously polluted. 1.4 billion ppl are affected with such pollution.

Capital Delhi is worst. Other than on LocalCircles and Twitter, and some on facebook may be, by and large people express no anger no outrage and hardly any protest.

India will continue to suffer like this for a long time to come.

I guess we wont die this year or next but may be 10 years from now so i guess its not important. Who care whether we live 60 or 70. The politicians for sure don’t more

Leave the rivers as they are.No pollutants should be thrown into the river. All rivers should not have any industries up to 1 km from there banks more
We are all passing time by debate/Discussion/Comments. No One can control this until he control himself/her self. Let us start that. Take Photographs and complain top PM/CM etc. Then put an RTI what action has been taken on the complaint. One day will come when every man will be DADA with a Lathi/Weapon in his hand to fight for against this damage. Jai Hind more
Yes, of course transportation a big cause for pollution, as even now when we have the EV option, many cars run on diesel, the most polluting. Like developed countries being asked at international conferences soliciting funds, so must also the rich at home do more, such as switching to a environmentally friendlier transportation, for example using public transport or EVs, even both with one augmenting the other. Returning from the COP26 summit on climate change, Mr. Modi's governance style has become clear: make expansive statements such as reaching carbon neutrality in about 50 years, by 2070, emphasise successes - using technology that enabled better targeted welfare programs which themselves were expanded, sometimes hugely, the renewable energy capacity expansion being one, do vast image projection, and present new goals thereby diverting attention away from the above captioned failures. more
Let u first ask ourselves....'WHY ARE THE RIVERS POLLUTE? WHY HAVE WE WITED FOR 65 YEARS TO TAKE ACTION FOR PURIFYING THE RIVERS?" Why have people not asked this question to earlier governments? Specially when everyone knows that the present government is trying to resolve the issue. It is not that easy since we as a people are least bothered about other people, even if they are our neighbors. Throwing muck on the roads has been a common problem. Only keeping areas clean is a factor which is under pressure right now. We all need to ask ourselves...... How many of us have asked anyone on the road, who was spitting on the road...... NOT TO SPIT? more
Pollution Can't be checked in this country as the people's minds are polluted by the politicians. Have you ever heard any country's PM to speak against sections of citizens who does not belong to his religion? When pollution and corruption are order of the day in this country, you and me, without any political clout, may speak against pollution of air and water, but the rulers won't pay any heed. Yet, carry on good work and endure the hard life. more
