Wish to know the Truth about Flavoured Water?
Flavoured water, though marketed as a healthy substitute for water, contains ingredients, like artificial flavours, sugar, sweeteners, preservatives, carbonated water, caffeine and other ‘enhancements’ - most of them being unhealthy.
A serving of fruit-flavoured water can have between 9 to 13 grams of added sugar, which translates to sugar in the range of 2.25 to 3.25 teaspoons - about half of the World Health Organisation's recommended sugar intake of 25g per person per day.
