Why only maggi?

Why only maggi? Lab tests carried out by Consumer Education and Research Centre (CERC) had revealed high levels of salt, sugar and fat in popular brands like Knorr, Bournvita and Lays - unacceptable both by national and international standards! Time to wake up and act on all fronts for Regulatory Authorities all over the country!! more

The entire problem is not only from corporates but also the lax attitude of Govt. Departments. There is no coordination between testing, approval, marketing, followup, random checks. No body is studying the working of Public Health depts in other countries and improve our system. The Govt. officers are not technically competent to study the products. Like this it is a stalemate and taken advantage by multinationals and big corporates to do whatever they desire, without caring for human life and health. I suggest that all departments are to be merged and experts are to be chosen from Private sector also and entire system is to be revamped. more
The root cause for this kind of problem is our own creation. We Indian in general believe that any product promoted by a foreign company is good and good for health. We also fall prey to their marketing gimmicks. Consumer forums are also divided on political lines. In each district there are different Consumer Fora and hence it will be easy for Product manufacturers to divide them easily. So unless we form strong a Consumer Fora's with honest and dedicated member. We all will easily carried by false propaganda. more
You guys are giving wrong justification.... liquor, pan parag ,guthka, cigarettes, etc....are you giving to your kids.....because you are they are harmful.....& maggi.....It's question of wrong information...illegal practice more
Allopathy drugs that are pumped in from foreign countries, liquor, pan parag ,guthka, cigarettes, are they less harmful than maggi??? OR are they Harmless???? Come on, this is corporate war. Maggi goes out !! Sherlie comes in........ more
I agree all of my friends ie Alcohol and other brands which contain more chemical and ingredients including preservatives should be banned. All cola drinks should be banned from market, but, I am very surprised how may top Bollywood Stars and Cricket Players endorse them. They seldom think about the welfare of the people but are more interested the heavy amount being offered by MNCs. Instead of Acid if you pour the Cola Drinks the latrine would become more clean since this is more stronger than acid. Big Lobby behind this. more
