WHY NOT CLOSE DOWN THE FOUR TROUBLESOME UNIVERSITIES S FOR SOME TIME
J N U , Jadhavpur University , Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh are now under the control of student politicians who have no interest in pursuit of studies. Obviously, they are guided and funded by the so called activists, some political parties and foreign forces who want to destabilize India. Certainly, these students are not the representative gathering of student community in India.
There are hundreds of colleges and universities in India which are functioning peacefully though there may be some occasional issues not connected to politics. Certainly, in the above four universities, there must be large number of students who want to educate themselves, with ambition of becoming scholars and achieving career goals.
As the peaceful atmosphere in these universities are disturbed by reckless student politicians and their supporters, good students are getting frustrated and feeling helpless.
When I was studying in Annamalai University in Tamil Nadu several decades back, there was anti Hindi agitation and the university was closed for three months. Then, peace returned.
The good students will feel bold to assert themselves and prevent their interest being violated by reckless student politicians , if the Universities would remain closed for a few months.
The visual media is playing a very irresponsible role by constantly highlighting the violent and motivated student politicians and giving them huge publicity which they need and relish.

Very True. This is what happened in the Annamalai University in the 70s. The did the best thing of closing down all courses below the level of PG. At that time the thinking was that those pursuing PG courses held a level of responsibility, maturity and commitment to studies.Here the situation is still worse. Even ppl in the PG courses show no maturity or commitment and seem to be so-called "Liberals" or Communists with motive to enjoy the concessions of students rather than pursuit of serious knowledge. Many are middle-aged and all politically motivated. They are spoilt, no doubt, but spoil the good-eggs too. Leaving these Varsities in this state would only grow anti-nationalist and become breeding house of non-patriotic citizens. It would be tough task to take any action with so much of nasty political involvement into this, but nevertheless the Govt has to take the corrective steps, which today looks like only closing down these Universities. Ppl advocating to "listen to the voice of the students" don't really understand the situation and are addressing it superfluously.

GOVT. SHOULD TAKE NOTE THAT THOSE NOT DOING GOOD IN STUDIES SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE PART IN COLLEGE ELECTION NOR SHOULD THEY ALLOWED TO CONTINUE THEIR STUDIES.

Views expressed by the Writer could be an option, subject to shifting the STUDENTS to other colleges and / or Universities. My point is not to disturb the studies at the same time.
