Where’s is the accountability

The Power Ministry ordered and NTPC took on the responsibility to buy farm stubble from farmers and here we are 2 years later with children waking up in the middle of the night in Delhi because of cough and pollution.

It cant get any worse than this. You have time to do stupid things and spend money on wasteful pursuits and give aid to countries that dont matter but we dont have funds that will help in ensuring our own citizens live their full lifespan.

Can something be done even NOW to ensure not a single fire takes place in Punjab Haryana And UP. more

Only solution is that Govt should buy all farm stubble & use it for something purposeful. There is no other solution.Secondly Govt should ban all the crackers creating pollution.Everyone is affected.People have to be educated. The problem is with the newly created wealthy people who want to show off their wealth by blowing off the money more
Lack of awareness among the farmers and corruption at every single stage is leading all issues unsolved and AQI is one of the major issue in that. more
Not the only story about this govt. more
This is how a political love is shown to the people who elect them with the hope that they would make life easier for the common people. In this case of burning the paddy stubble (Parali) has its political interest which supersedes all responsibility & accountability. The government in Punjab, which is the main culprit, is that of Congress and that in Haryana, also a small culprit, is that of BJP. Both are severely anti Aam Admi party of Sri Kejriwal which is governing under great stress and restraint in the state of DELHI. So therefore let the people suffer ;they are so dumb that they will think that AAP is responsible for their chocked atmosphere. Next election people will defeat them and then perhaps the atmosphere will improve because then, depending upon who comes to power, BJP or Congress, they will work out a formula because the farmers of Punjab and Haryana both are a big vote bank. That is the equation. Can we, the gullible Junta, solve it? more
Population is concentrated in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chenai, Bangluru, Etc. Top Govt. Offices and Executives are located in these places and you are not able to move them collectively. You imagine what must be fate of a common man in rural and small towns of India. What you are trying to do is solve only one specific problem of a specific area, While all should try and solve general problem of legislators and executives not attending to Law and commitments of legislation and orders thereunder. If this is attempted and even if we succeed +50% it would solve the current problem and prevent many other problems from cropping up. But every one of us, including me, have a restricted vision and we do not see beyond my and now problem. We MUST change ourselves to come out of it and must attempt to overcome common and general problem rather than try and solve problems one by one. RYK more
