Vaccine price being capped

Ladies and Gentlemen tell u what raising hell and making noise on LocalCircles works. I must have done repeated posts on high price of vaccine and recently children being charged 1500 in schools by private hospitals.

The word has reached where it needed to. The price of Covishield and Covaxin, which are expected to soon get regular market approval from DCGI, is likely to be capped at Rs 275 per dose plus an additional service charge of Rs 150

The service charge of 150 is still high but we will take it for now.

I see some members in the circle who have a problem when people like me raise issues. Tell you what you can go pound sand.

This is peoples platform and we will do whatever we like as long its in public interest.

Cheers to all who had an issue with vaccine price and supported me.

Jai Hind & Happy Republic Day! more

Someone has written that All Private Hospitals are Looting....? It is a status symbol to flaunt Healthcare, being admitted or getting vaccinated at 5 star hospitals. Just look around & feel great ? about getting treatment from Charitable Centers managed by religious organizations vs. insurance related private hospitals.. So much has changed for healthcare during past 35 years plus, when skies opened up for Privatizations. Flaunt hospitals for sure & be one up in the kitty party... Remember that it is You people who are paying salary to the Gurkha outside the hospital...upto the OT attendant & others who keep the place spic and span.. If vaccine cost is 250/-, keep adding the 'hidden' charges paid as salaries to the staff. Go to Government Hospitals to get full benefits of taxes paid to the government. more
In government hospitls it is free of cost. more
Great news Garima! I took both my doses at Parsee General Hospital where it was given free. I thank the hospital for their generosity. more
For information, we got a booster shot yesterday and the charges were Rs.780 per person for Covishield. more
Government ought to keep the vaccine prices in check as our elected rule maker. Vaccinations traditionally have been administered free, as a welfarist measure by previous governments, costs being made out with the future. In balance, the rich should pay, as they enjoy consumerist lifestyles. Having collected so much money through taxes, and spare administrative capacities and resources being available, when from the nation through the people's revenue generating activities, government reaped the benefits, there ought to be some recompense, when public is so easily pliable, bearing impositions such as lockdown. School children, our nation's future especially the self-selecting beneficiary students must be vaccinated free. Remember, this is a necessity. more
