Unjust Electricity rates in Haryana

If one see electricity bills for past few months one may find electricity tariff for domestic consumers is highest in India, as no slab benefit for person consuming more than 500 units. Today electricity procurement costs are lowest, as they are only few buyers in market due to poor health of Distribution companies. It is available in the range of Rs.2-2.5. But Haryana is buying power from Mars. Role of HERC for honest power consumers who are using for domestic use is not sympathetic. BJP promised cheap power in Delhi election, so why so expensive power in Haryana. Why should ordinary consumers pay for inefficiencies corruption and theft of power companies? more

Hi, Adding to Mr. Dixit Point......Even in the UP which is arguably the most corrupted state the power rate is 8.50 per unit while in Haryana we are paying aroung 10-11 per unit. I have voted for Mr. Modi and Mr. Khattar but they are not doing anything to curb the loot of power companied in this sector. One Question - Can some one please suggest how to check the meter for fast runnning? more
No garbage collection bins in Gurgaon HUDA sectors more
We fail to understand as to why honest consumers of electricity, who are regularly paying 100% of what they are consuming, they too have to pay for the consumption of those they are stealing electricity. We hear from people that there are lakhs of people in different parts of Haryana and everywhere in our country, that they are not paying for what they consume. Either they steal or they forcibly draw electricity in different ways. Why can't authorities control this theft and pilferage and protect honest people from paying for those they are illegally not paying? Our government must either ensure to control theft else pay from their resources and not force honest consumers for paying for their failure of controlling theft. more
Apart from Mr Dixit's observations followings need to be added: 1. For last couple of months, the cycle is so de-regulated that it is difficult to monitor health of the metering equipment or consumption as faulty meter or fast running meters had always been under complain. 2. The extensively delayed delivery of bills puts the monitoring and control haywire. 3. In the present scenario, most house bill units cross the bottom most slab much before the end of 1st month, so the slab needs to be redefined. 4. There is no outlined, defined, laid down procedure etc. to check and correct the pilferage, theft, inefficiency of authority concerned. One can experience the pain when it results into either malfunctioning or burning of DHBVN meter. Getting it corrected or replaced is an uphill task apart from payment for bill at the highest average rate for the outage period. more
