Underpass at Iffco and Raajiv Chowk

The cause for IFFCO and Rajiv Chowks to clog is the key to decongesting these two lights under the NH8. Indians have very poor driving habits; they always want pole position and so, they disturb the traffic lanes in order to achieve their place ahead of the rest. If we don't rush eachother and stick to the lanes then, the flow of traffic will be smooth. There is a need to educate the masses here in India on Driver Ethics; Defensive Driving vs. Aggressive Road Menace; rule adherance and the consequences. Law Enforcement must take traffic seriously and, not for personal gains only. In this manner, traffic in India can improve. There is no "juggar" for professional values, selfless service and tolerance. India needs "Zipper Lanes" integrated to ease the flow of traffic through chock points during peak rush hours. Thanks. Yes, since this Expressway or NH-8 has been built it Gives much Driving Pleasure to the Thru Traveller. But always Create much Problems to Local Residents. There must be an Exit point in both Sides before reaching Atlas Chowk. We can.t cross the highway for a Long distance of over 9 km in between Rajiv Chowk to Kherki Daula. Its a Major Problem for Us. If a person goes to his Office at Manesar from his Home near Rajiv Chowk, has to pay Rs.60/- for one side & Rs.120/- Per Day. And thus he has to pay in a month (25 days) Rs.3000/- as Toll. and thousands of people are paying the same, since the Toll @ Delhi Border was closed they increase the Toll rate of Kherki Daula around 250%. How much they will Collect more. In the last 13-14 years the total Toll collected might have many times than the expenses incurred to built this Highway. There must be some guideline / time-frame to Collect Tolls & Govt should look at these. more  

We agree with the projected requirement but this is not the only place. At least two overhead walkways are inescapable requirements at HUDA city centre crossing to ease the traffic congestion and utmost safety of pedestrians.More adequate parking facilities for autos, rickshaws and pick up vehicles. Additional walkways are essential on the NHAI stretch between Shankar chowk and Hero Honda chowk, Golf course extn road and sector 56 round about. more
