Travel portals airlines and hotel all penalised consumers
My father in law is awaiting a refund of over 50000 for travel he had booked via an online portal and hot canceled due to COvid in April. He had to attend an event and that event wont happen again
We are happy to pay 10% as processing fee and get our money. Its been 4 months no refund, just making a fool of consumers.
LocalCircles policy for future is good but do something also so all those who have pending refunds from april may get them in august September.

Travel portals fleece the passengers left right center. Government must act fast to address this issue. Government must ensure to prohibit portal/airlines charging convenience fees for online digital transactions. more

File an online complaint in your District Consumer Forum. Format available. Argue yourself as party-in-person. No need for lawyers. Within about 10 weeks you will get the order directing the Travel agency to refund the entire fare+ interest + some Compensation more
