TRAVEL BY NEW AC COACHES
I have been traveling AC coaches many times of late the new coaches which are made recently are the PAID punishment AC coach champers which no one control it. the temperature is very low and no technicians to control it as they are not educated to operate and set the temperature. even the TTE are not aware.
i do not know if any one has the experiences. there are lot of technical design issues on the coaches.
old coaches had the cushioned handles or non metallic handles for the sides and also for the steps.
Now the new it is all SS handles without insulation are cushion hence it is very chill to touch the handles especially for the elders.
old coaches it was a air outlet duct with dampers / shutters to control chill air inlet to the berths.
New coaches not such thing. hence the air blasting on the body on upper and middle berths.
old coanch the airflow can adjusted by the speed of the fan. but new no one knows how to adjust it. more

Subhash garu you have to remember on thing. Regards to AC temparature in coaches we have to blame both attendents and passengers also. For example 40 to 50 percent of the passengers has reimbursement from their organisation hence they are travelling in AC coaches but they don't like AC, they ask the attendents to control the AC that is why they are increasing the temp to that effect other passengers are suffering. This is also proved. If some passengers are not require AC they can travel in sleeper class. Even attendents also Outsourcing people so passengers are offering them money. In the above reasons we have to blame both of them. more

This is not a new story. For decades since AC coaches started this has been an issue. Every now and then one will get to experience this. It's usually because of bad maintenance and upkeep. 2 Tier AC sleeper coaches aren't even swept properly one sees. Who's to be held accountable for all this! more

Good Morning Mr Subash, Thank you for you mail and complaint regarding AC coach,yes there are very poor in condition and seats need to be more softer and comfortable,side steps to climb up are so flimsy and wobbly,it cannot take the weight of a 100 kg Gents or lady,rats are running wild,no proper pressure in the health faucet in the toilets. Sometimes there are sudden jerks in the train bogie,as a Bypass operated person it gives me a sudden strain in my chest. While setting temperatures will get sorted out as AC coahes have been used for long, the cushioning of hand rests .ay require attention. The generally accepted temlerature is 25 degrees. But there is a need to have technical staff to do minor adjustments, where required. more

The AC coaches, apart from the said inadequacies and inconveniences, are not vacuum cleaned thoroughly to make them dust proof, due to which cross contamination becomes common thereby spreading airborne health issues among the passengers. The AC coach travel can not be safe as compared to conventional sleeper coaches where there is normal exchange of air. more
