Has any member got any suggestion for reducing noise due to Tinnitus and improving hearing. I am 68 years old with controlled Type II diabities.

My Mother is 88 years of age and has TINNITUS from 2013. She is absolutely normal otherwise. The suggestion I received from ENT Experts is to go a TINNITUS MASK - kind of hearing aid mechanism. I did not opt for this since here, my MOM has to psychologically believe that the OUTER sound overtakes the INNER Sound(Tinnitus). I am now trying to provide a Musical Environment in her room, by which her disturbances get reduced - advice by ENT Experts.

Well, shiro dhara can help you if feasible to you.In the mean time you may try Punarnava guggulu 2tabs*2; Dashmul taila as ear drops and nasal drops, not more than twice a day. assess the changes felt or observed after two weeks.

1. Is your Diabetes (Blood Sugar) under control ? Please ensure this first. If not, get it controlled. 2. Are you taking Aspirin ? If you are, then stop it. You may find relief. 3. Are your bowels clean ? If not, keep them clean by modifying your eating habits and consuming more Roughage in food. Drink plenty of water. You may take plain water ENEMA for about a week initially to get rid of the old collected stuff in your Bowels. 4. Take Vitamin E capsules (Evion 400mg) daily for about a week. Later on you may reduce the dosage to one per week, and continue it for a month. 5. Which cooking oil you are using? If you are using Soyabean oil, stop it. Use Olive oil. . Take 1000mg Omega3 capsule daily ( you may also eat Flex Seeds & Akhrot to get Omega3) 6. Valsalva, Pranayam, Bhramari etc advised by our other colleagues are certainly helpful & worth trying and should be continued as supplementary. Most important is the Life Style - eat less ( we are eating some 3 times the food we need at this age of yours) and insist on raw and unprocessed vegetables and fruits and sprouted grains (uncooked). Daily exercise is must (brisk walking for 20-30 minutes will suffice for your age). And be STRONG psychologically- try to ignore the buzzing in ears by keeping yourself engaged in your Hobbies and social activities.

Tinnius is psychological disease , if u avoid this would bother u .In case u started feeling then a psychological noise may trouble u. Alarm noise , songs would help u. There is no adequate medicines for this problem Normally doctors give es ear muscular strength vitamins which has no bearing with disease
