Tikona Connection -Beware
Not sure how many of among you are using Tikona Broadband service !! I guess very few because you are able to connect to Local services :) . i am using my mobile net to write this comment :) . I am not here to endorse or defame any broadband services , But just want to share my experience with you.
--I stay in sector 7 extension ( Very near to Krishna colony, Jyoti park, Sec -7, Madan puri, Sec-4 ,sec-9 ,sec-10 ).
when i asked for their services in my area, they claimed that they are serving around 50-60 % customer in these area :)
-- I got my connection Sep 2, and since then, i am being served with pathetic service. The connection drops now and then. Hardly you would be able to use it continuously for 20-30 mins.
-- They claim it 2mbps speed but many of the times speedtest.com shows 200-400 kbps( FYI. i have a plan for 2MBPS@24 GB and FAR FAR away from LIMIT)
-- I raised complaint on 3rd September and called 100 times to customer care in between and the technician (ill-trained ) visited me on 25th Sep(YOU READ IT CORRECT !!!) . he changed some wire connections and claimed that issue has been resolved. but situation is still same.
-- YOU MIGHT RECEIVE A STATEMENT FROM CUSTOMER CARE SAYING A ENGINEER HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED TO YOUR ISSUE , BUT (in ground reality ) NO PERSON WOULD VISIT TO YOU. This is i can say from my experience.
The only catch they make by offering comparatively cheaper prices which eventually become expensive when you pay 700 with no service. you wont believe many a times i use mobile hot spot for my urgent office work at home. they are offering such a low service. i feel pity on me for choosing this .
So Just want let you people about their services i read on the internet thousands ( YES you read it correct !!!) of people are facing issues (http://forum.tikona.in/viewforum.php?f=41) .

Finally !!!! I have opted out of the services of tiknoa.But real disconnection is still pending.It was really the worst experience . it was really mental trauma for me for 1 month.I could not expected such a bad service from them.Once you place a disconnection request then only they start to fix the problem; but temporarily. but after that as you withdraw or don't push disconnection. the story would be same. The speed reminds of cyber cafe net connection speed during my childhood days . But picture abhi baaki hai .. :). my refund and awareness ;about tikona service; among the rest of the residents. i feel disconnection,refund might gonna be a uphill task.but i am prepared for it :). Already feeling like cheated , so this time i m not gonna let them play any trick. more

@vikassharma that's what I'm referring to. I had the same plan for 5 years. The best part is that unlike other providers who cap the upload speed at 512kbps, they don't. They're services are affected around 3-4 days a month for around half days on account of excessive rains, cable damage etc. So if you can handle that outage, then they are the cheapest and fastest. The only reason I moved was because their 80gb, 16mbps plan was way more expensive than what Airtel was offering. Would surely go back if they offer something competitive for my requirements. more

Hi @Anuj Kumar - For the time being I bought Reliance 3G Wi-Pod (Dongle) as it was the cheapest among the mobile broadband options! @AMIT CHHABRA - I believe you are referring to TriplePlay Telecom Pvt. Ltd. (Website - www.tripleplay.in) & if that's true then even I also am of the opinion that perhaps they would be giving better service! I found their 25 GB @ 4 MBPS Plan as the most Cost effective & if they provide good Bandwidth in reality with good support & better quality Cables & Equipment then I would certainly go for it.
