The encroachment on footpath and in front of Metro
The encroachment on footpath and in front of Metro are being done without any control and the MCD and the Police accept bribe and charge nominal fee to legalize their presence.
Secondly, the total pedestrian movement is disturbedand the pedestrian are put inconvience and danger.
Proper area for the informal sector should be carved out on a planned manner. This would find traffic conjection, proper pedestrian movement and also prevent litering and disposes of garbage , plastic bags etc.
Proper details should be worked out by the authority to determine the width of the footpath in corelation with the number of pedestrian using that area.
Proper parking lots should be constructed and parking along the roads and unauthorized parking should be banned. Litering should be severly dealt with heavy penalities. The whole area should be kept under CCTV surveillance and the defaulters should immediately be identified, caught & punished.
If these measures are adopted then we would make one step forward to Swatch Bharat.
The scheme should be taken up area wise and implemented. We had made the proposal for Kapashera & the old national highway. The same would present to the MLA but till date 3-4 years have passed, no action seems to have been taken.
We are ready to offer our services free of cost for designing & suggesting measures for creating the Swatch Bharat by improving & irredicating the roots of dirt and conjection.

This is well established fact that encroachment is done only in connivance with the Police and MCD personnel of the area for their petty gains. If somebody lodged complaint with higher authorities, the MCD Squad will come and carry the total paraphernalia of the encroacher and later after one hour leave the confiscated goods after charging penalty from them. This is vicious circle going on which is found to be quite uncontrollable unless until it is done by the officers and Political big-wig have good will to control the act. Corruption in Police and MCD is so rampant which cannot be improved at all as our political as well as administrative officers are deeply involved in the scandle. I am a woman doctor owner of a self acquired flat at first floor, since 1982. Building has a map,certifying a barsaati and ground floor only There's added structures upstairs and downstairs During recent drive to remove encroachment, I spoke with the representative, Manor Tiwari spokesperson of BJP I was told that entire Delhi has illegal structures and one should learn to live with it Should I be tolerant living 2 personalities As a popular doctor of 42 years plus facing humiliation in own home or keep telling the authorities including police and MCD about the harsh realities?? Our Chauvinistic people can't accept women as owners of property? First there was a nasty lawyer who kept my ownership papers in 'Safe' custody and I spent 3 years to fight him in court as a citizen and Got Back My Papers He too took advantage of people living upstairs and downstairs Women reading this, never get weak to fight the nasty chauvinism

The Metro authorities must insist upon the Police and local political leadership besides the civic bodies to remove encroachments from in fronts of the Metro stations and, not only that, from within 100 meters of the Station. THIS IS PUBLIC DEMAND .
