Tax Burden on Middle Class People

Respected Friends,
I am totally against to the way Govt is imposing taxes. It is really height and kind of exploitation. We can show our frustration only to write such kind of e -mails. We cannot take any action because we all are very busy in our professional and personal life & honestly say helpless. We are bound to pay since no choice.
This is really hard fact that only 5% population of India is paying Income Tax. Rest 95% are enjoying without paying tax and unanswerable.
May be Govt is doing good work but in this tax part it is very inefficient Govt. They do not know how to recover tax from 95% population but very well know how to suck the blood from 5% population. My request to all friends kindly advise the way to protest on this. This time we should take stand and realise Govt that how much we are unhappy from the Tax system in India.
I received this message on whats app and found worth to share with you.

Dear Government,

Take my salary, give me all my taxes

Dear Mr Arun Jaitly FM, This budget has proved that it is anti Middle Class. The poor are taken care of by freebies and no taxes and the rich don’t care about taxes as they earn huge salaries. We the middle class is suffering, we pay all your VAT, Cess, ST everything. Whatever little we do to make our struggle easy such as movies, hotels, small cars, electricity you all FMs tax them every year. We are sick of paying professional, education, Swach Bharath, Service TAX and VAT. Please listen to us.

Don’t test our patience. Out of Rs.100 earned we only get benefit of Rs.20-30 rest goes in taxes. See Example below.

A family of four on weekend for food at restaurant.

Petrol: 5 Ltr X Rs56.60= Rs. 283.
Tax collected on Rs 283 is Rs. 190

Resturant Bill Rs. 1000
Tax collected on Rs. 1000 = Rs. 203 (14.5%VAT, 5.6% ST, 0.2% SwachB Tax)
Service Charge 10% = Rs. 100
Total for taxes = Rs.303

Total outgoing = 283+1000+203+100= 1585
Note, this is post income tax so I will have to earn Rs. 2200 to manage this. Tax paid Rs. 660 on income

Summary Tax paid
Income Tax : Rs.660
Tax on Petrol: Rs.190
Tax on food: Rs. 203
Service Charge: Rs.100
TOTAL TAX PAID Rs. = Rs. 1153
Total spent from Salary Rs. 2200

Actual value of goods received = Rs. 1047
Total TAX paid = Rs. 1153

WHAT IS THIS? Is the GOVT making us a fool

30% income tax, 14% service tax, 0.5% Swach Bharat tax, 0.5% Agri tax, Vat 7.5%, cess and now tax on PPF and EPF. Mr FM we do not know how you became a finance minister but you seem to be a total un-pat.

PLEASE PASS THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.

I absolutely agree with Mr. R. Venkatesh Govind. I worked most of my life in private sector and feel cheated by this policy of pampering non-performing babus. more
I do agree with Mr. Govind and Sanjay. All this is just to give award, from the tax exhorted from the public - promising - it is for the development of country. Since I belong to private sector - I know, how hard I have to work day and night - to get compensation for the good result. While - Few Government employs - have nothing to prove their performance but get rewarded. And in the process, how work hard get demoralized to give their best. I thing - promotion / award / consideration - should be the job of the next boss, how is answerable for the results. If people are not happy - how is stopping - world is open for them. Example - Army chief is responsible to give the best to their men - including Guns, uniform every thing. Defense minister - has to ask only one thing - how much you want - here it is. CAG is there to audit. That's all. Same is true with Railway. CMO or how so ever is responsible for results. No need to run train - to VIP constituency when there is no demand - decision making authority is the Railway boss not Minister. What equipment, from where and when is the job of the performing officer. Minster is just a custodian of Tax payers money. NO POWER WHAT SO EVER. I wish just - follow my ideas in 1 or 2 sectors - and than see what these Government Officers can do? If Government teachers are motivated and given the best of the facilities, even better than private schools - see what kind of students we are getting. more
Sharmaji, the promise has already been kept. Ministers seem to be abroad most of the time, read "Minimum Government (in India)". more
Some questions: 1) How can babus get pay rise without productivity increase? 2) 50% of the pay rise outlay is for Babu Pensioners. 3) How is it that my pension, which is paid out by LIC, not change with the years, while babus get fat rises? 4) My brother in law, who retired 15 years back as Executive Director of a Govt Refinery, gets a pension lower than a worker (from the same refinery) who retired last year. His pension is also paid out by LIC. 5) I hear that MPs & MLAs get a fat pension after serving one term. How come? In my opinion, Pension scheme in India for individuals (not MPs & babus), is basically a source of fat income for Govt. This is similar to Insurance, which the Govt has "opened up" for FDI, and there is a mad rush from foreign institutions to "invest". more
7 th pay commission hike for central government employees is nothing but old practice of vote bank politics , this is one way to garner the votes and solidify the support in elections .There is no merit , no criteria just to satisfy one sect of people .First of all why no policies are made for private companies/sector employees , they are more or less on mercy of employers and right or wrong is only profits /earning , government is silent spectators in the name of growth , further their hard earned saving is curtailed in the post office/banks ft (by reducing the interest rate) .Here government has no leading role for any types of enhancement of benefits. more
