Tatkal VS Normal Ticket Booking

I am a Sr. Citizen & was at Gurugram (Gurgoan) Rly Stn. on 28th May'17 standing in que at the booking counter designated for Sr.citizens. Around 9.40am , the booking clerk left for tea.At the same time a lot of people rushed into the Sr, Citizen Line, jostling each other. Upon inquiry, a Rly staff informed that Normal Bookings of Tickets have been suspended till completion of Tatkal Ticket Booking timings, resulting into my Tatkal returning back home.
The basic point to be mooted is :-
1. Why the designated Sr.Citizen Ticket Booking Counter was dismantled to accommodate Tatkal Ticket Booking ? A shameful act on the part of Rlys.
2. This reflects :-
A) Rlys prime interest in making quick buck be fooling the Sr.Citizens.
B) Extremely poor planning / functioning of the Rlys in implementing their policies / rules.
Will the Rly Minister please look into ??? more

Mr.Venkat Vure, Thanks for your valuable observations & suggestions. As informed by the Rly staff, the concerned issue does not pertain the local Rly Admn., as such type of rules/policy matters are formulated at higher level & instructions are passed on for implementation. more
There are no Rules & Regulations followed by Railways....if a person holding a reservation, it's the duty of Railways to get him that berth. Look at the real situations happening in the compartments. Out of 72 members strength, over 300 members get into the compartment, and they fill up both bathrooms either side. Even if we bring this to the platform RPF, RPSF, they won't listen to that. Frankly Indian Railways are making the passengers life miserable! We talk about Technology, Innovation, Corruption free.....it's all a Dream in India! more
Mr.Harish Patel, Thanks for sharing your observations. However, it wasn't a personal problem but a common problem concerning rail commuters. I protested but was informed that it was the rule & directives of Rly ways, otherwise ,I would not have shared here. more
If we will raising our personal problems in the forum there will be a tradition. We should mobilise these types of injustice through proper channels and copies may be issued to all concerned. more
