Talk and Reality gap
What an irony this is? On on hand you have PM speaking at top business forum in switzerland about India shining. On the other hand if anyone in that forum logs on to Indian news, it shows India vandalising, India burning that to for a 1.5 star movie. Our problems are all internal.
Either the timing should have been different or this movie not released. So much of country's resources going in wasteful things. Imagine the cost of damage, police time, media time...just covering this stupidity.
Someone in central govt should be looking at this and coming up with a not again plan.

Collectively we have no work. If we had work this non event would not have generated so much passion. People working are busy earning money not vandalising businesses, schools and public property.

Shri Krishna Kumar ji, I have seen the film. It is a good entertainment. Nothing wrong in it. Do we go to a movie for entertainment or judgement of characters on their moral values?

The ruckus surrounding the movie and the whole situation is symptom for underlying problems. The timing etc. can be addressed through increased awareness, sense and understanding which indeed people seem to be learning, whatever may be the reason or source. Riots, burning, looting only expose stupidity and will continue to recur and keep exposing the internal problems which can only be fixed through a real elevation of intelligence rather than by burning down a supposedly 1.5 * movie.

It is a movie for heaven's sake. What a waste of resources for a stupid movie? The people of this country obviously have nothing better to do with their time. Why are we toeing the line of criminals? Are these guys any better than the Taliban who dictate what you see, what you wear and what you say? They can kill our today to protect some ancient piece of history that is not even depicted in the movie...it is a story....get real. When do we stop and think for ourselves and not be like cattle following a herd?

Here are heights of stupidity - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stupid facts - Bhansali & Jinno Thakkar (Mr Jinnah) belong to the same Lohana business clan of Gujrat. Jinno Thakkar became Jinnah and we all know what happened after that. I hope that Bhansali is not in the same track. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Whatever the movie is about. It has got enough publicity due to the tactics started by Bhansali himself and the ones opposing. So people whether you are interested or not, I am sure that you will watch the movie because of the media hype created. We of course will forget about the victims 1. The school children who have nothing to do with the topic at all. 2. The people whose vehicles & properties have been burnt. 3. The commercial benefit that Bhansali gets which will probably go to him only and not be used for any just cause. If you are reading this post which is about a topic which should not be happening... You don't need to have a view or take sides in the stupidity. The movie itself is a product of art and technology and should be appreciated as such. It is a creative product and a contribution to society and culture. The riots and burning are not the answer. These are provoked by nefarious elements due to ignorance, jealousy, or simply lack of intelligence. The important thing is to be aware of motivations of these nefarious goons either in hiding or out and about and not fall prey to their traps who will burn, loot or even VOODOO to kill pr maim the movie or in general creative products and their creators.

The Movie Makers might have urged for a re view of the Movie by including Social and Judicial members on the Board in their petition to S.C. that could have either solved or, made those opposing prove variation or publicizing any PRIVACY ISSUE of its History .
Then, the Governments' action in controlling the revolters stand reasonable in the whole Society . India has had many such unlwful, unworthy, untodo protests damaging properties .
ALWAYS THE PROBLEM/ISSUE CREATOR FALLS IN SAFE SIDE WHILE THE one who Re-acts, re-treats will be set under Several Media Cameras. We are seeing these ills where the creator will not have any proof of Cameras or the Media . THIS IS THE CARRIED INJUSTICE PROVOKING MANY REVOLTS AND RETALIATIONS.
