The long term solution to pollution of air 1-Banning two stroke engined two wheelers 2-Yearly computerized certification like in gulf countries. 3- Banning all vehicles which are 15 yr old and arrange companies to buy and junk them immediately by crushing to reduce space 4- Ban new registrations of auto rikshaw S,two wheelers and other polluting passenger vehicles for one year from now . 5- Ask industries to reduce production for two years fro m his on 6- In case of heavy polution bring odd and even numbered vehicles on road .In Mexico, Athens it was a success . 7- Industrial licenses to be suspended for industries which have no effluent treatment plants . 8- Fine the companies like reliance ,SR HPCL,IOl of leakage from their production site ,transport and accidents for polluting . more
I believe that people in general are ignorant of the harmful effect of air pollution. All around the area where I live people continue to burn garbage packed in plastic bags. Garbage is being dumped at all vacant plots and in a clandestine manner they are burnt many a time at night. Sometimes this practice is done by the corporation themselves. There is a lack of supervision on disposal regime at lower levels. The police do not consider this as an important issue to stop people from dumping garbage and burning them. more
EVERY HOUSEHOLD SHOULD HAVE A GAS CYLINDER, SPECIALLY IN RURAL AREAS .PENALITY FOR POLLUTING VEHICLES SHOULD BE INCREASED. BURNING OF GARBAGE SHOULD BE AVOIDED. PLANTING TRESS WITH LONG TERM VISION TO PROTECT THE HUMAN LIFE FROM AIR POLLUTION. EVERY YEAR PERMISSION FOR VEHICLES SHOULD BE FIXED AND SEE THAT MORE VEHICLES DO NOT COME ON ROADS. more
