Strikes and protests without focus

Today, in Bengaluru city, on my way to court, I was trapped amidst a huge procession organised by the Communist Trade Unions. I thought that I was back in 1970s, when trade union militancy was at its peak. The procession caused serious hardship and delays to people on their way to work. Typical slogans like "Down with Modi", "We want justice" etc were being shouted. There was no focus to this procession or its leaders. What policies of Modi Government are they protesting against? Land? Labour? Industry? Finance? When will we have informed discussion, debate and protests in our country.

Such unfocused protests and processions result in loss of wages to labourers, clogs the roads, and causes grave hardship to the public in general. At the end of the day, the protesters' message would certainly have not reached the right ears. Atbest, the politicalb osses of the Unions can claim that they had organised protests against Modi government throughout the country. more

The interest of Trade Unions are not welfare of workers but only political interest. more
THE ILLS DEVELOPED IN POLITICAL PROTESTS & PROCESSIONS DAMAGING PUBLIC & GOVT. PROPERTIES ESCAPING THAT SUCH ARE THE ACTS OF ANTI-SOCIAL ELEMENTS ; HAS BECOME A RIGHTFUL THEORY TO GO INTO THE PUBLIC AND HAVE SELF PROPAGANDA FOR EXHIBITING THEIR EXISTENCE. REALLY, NONE CARES TO PROTEST IN THE COURT OF LAW FOR THE LEGALITY OR ILLEGALITY ; DEMOCRATIC MEASURE OR ANTI WELFARE MEASURE ; ECONOMICAL GROWTH ORIENTED OR ANTI-ECONOMICAL ; CONSTITUTIONALLY BOUND OR ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL APPLICATION ; ...This itself proves that these are all away and out of any JUSTIFIED ATTEMPT . WE HAVE TO THINK FOR FORMATION OF A FORUM WITH SOME OF THE INTERESTED PARTICIPANTS OF ADMINISTRATIVE & LEGAL CIRCLES TO GET SUCH ISSUES LEGALLY ADDRESSED THROUGH THE APEX COURT FOR THE SAKE OF FUTURE PAVEMENT . more
All strikes and Trade Unions should be banned. Hartals and bundhs banned. But since all these are politically motivated, who will bell the cat? more
