Some prominent jewelers not honour BIS HALLMARK

Some prominent jewelers in Lucknow do not give full refund on BIS HALL mark products. I have had an opportunity to visit one local jeweler in Lucknow. The salesperson said that he/ she has to cut 8% money on all HALL MARK (BIS) Silver product. While it is heard that there should be no deduction on HALL MARK product from jeweler's side when exchange (sell & purchase) the ornament. Which department is responsible to monitor the BIS regulation? more
