Solution for Union in Fractured Bones in Non-Union

One of my friend, 66 years, 171 cm, 80 Kg, had right thigh fracture in Jan, 2010 and left thigh fracture in Nov.,2013 in 2 accidents. Despite 14 operations/ procedures (nailing, rich platelets, bone marrow, bone graft, dynamizations, platting, bone morphogenic protein insertion between fractured bones) in leading Hospitals of India, extensive Allopathic, Ayurvedic (including Hadjod in many forms & its formulations including in Trikatu, Ashwagandha, babool, shilajeet, Arjuna, Medasak, various guggulu, & Bhasma), Homeopathic (including Symphytom from Q to 1M with Hypericum, Lednum, Rhus Tox, Roota, Bellis in various potency), Herbal treatments, fractured bones are still in non-union/extremely delayed union. There is problem of insignificant/no callous/ calcium formation between fractured bones. He can not stand, walk and sit without help of a walker since last 5 years and that too with lot of pain in both hip joints & thighs. He is non-diabetic, with normal: thyroid, vitamin D, calcium, phosphorous, BMD, testosterone, LFT, KFT, ESR, Hb, HbA1C etc. Slightly high B.P. with cholesterol & skin itching under control by medicines. Members and experts are requested to give solutions for early bones union after fracture in non union state after few years, without giving any preventive measures for fractures/bones. more

Dr. Mathur, Thanks. Can you bring union in fractured bones and alleviate pain so that patient can walk without any help without any damage to plate & screws etc., preferably without any further major surgical procedure. All case history and X-Rays etc. can be sent on your mail before the patient coming before you. more
Dr. Mathur, Thanks. Most of the operations done in AIIMS, New Delhi. There is no problem of accurate bone alignment & bone apposition, which also checked by other leading orthopedic doctors. Teriparatide injection also used by him for 18 months with B1NP checked. Request kindly tell about illzarov surgical technique. more
Sir, its sadenning to hear that the bone has not united despite undergoing 14 surgical procedures and various other modalities of treatment ranging from allopathy to ayurveda. Without going into too many details, I would like to state that first and foremost accurate bony alignment and bone apposition is essential for bone healing which I'm sure most of the surgeons would have adhered to. Secondly other mortalities of bone healing which you haven't already mentioned include use of teriparatide injections and a surgical technique called illizarov which is useful in some specific cases. You can enquire about these from your treating orthopaedic surgeon. more
