Smart City Criteria - Inputs Needed
India will have 100 smart cities and every state will have 1 Smart City.
Previously we had discussed what should a smart city have. Today we seek your inputs on based on the current condition of the cities, what should be the criteria to pick smart cities.
For example, a civic body that is delivering effectively on Swachh Bharat can be a good candidate for running a smart City.
Please give your inputs on these lines. They will be submitted to the Smart City team who is working on the criteria for Smart Cities.

please put a blanket ban on paan masaala, paan and other such items which create a lot of mess around.

It is GOOD IDEA, but at the same time govt.should be stringent for old cities

A civic body that is aspiring to convert its urban settlement into a Smart City should be committed to (a) 24x7 water supply, (b) use of treated sewage for flushing toilets and landscaping, (c) elimination of traffic jams at all times, (d) no flooding during rainy season, (e) storm water drains to carry only storm water, no sewage and (f) provision on the roads for pedestrian and bicycle users to move safely.
