Some months back I think during demonetisation drug controller of india had come out and said selling medicines online in india is illegal and they will come up with epharmacy law. What is the current law if there is one or is it still illegal practice.
Does dept of consumer affairs govern sale of banned goods online? more
The only people feeling bad about online sales can be those connected with the distribution and sales of medicines since their margins are hit. Consumers are happy since they get at a cheaper price. more
I do not think there is anything wrong in selling medicins online. It is so convenient, especially for the senior citizens and handicapped persons who need not stand in queue to get the medicines off the shelf. You go to any pharmacy shop and you will find a rush. But, yes, the drugs must be sold against proper prescription. When we order online, we do agree to submit /show the prescription when taking delivery. Let not government mess up the existing system and make it more cumbersome. We are already having so many problems to deal with in this wretched country..... power outages, artificially coloured vegetables, adulterated foodstuffs, carbide ripened fruits, expired food items and even drugs, etc.! more
Personally, I am not aware of any regulation that bans selling medicines online. Had that been illegal, there wouldn't have been so many agencies selling medicines online. Are you referring Medicines as banned goods? If yes, how can those be sold across the counter? more
