Railway should roll back to normal pre-Covid protocols.

Due to the unprecedented Covid menace which had engulfed the entire world necessary protocols which the WHO, CDC, ICMR etc released from time to time were to be strictly followed by all including the transportation systems, both public and private which included the Indian Railways. The Indian Railway while following the protocols had (1) Stopped operation of all passenger trains (2) Operated a few special trains on designated routes to make the migrated labours reach their hometowns (3) practiced special cleanliness drives and sanitization of the coaches (4) Stopped supplying bedrolls in all AC coaches to avoid transmission of infection (5) Stopped supply of food in rail coaches like Rajdhani, Duranto, Shatabdi etc or wherever it was included in the rail fare. (6) Ensured limited capacity booking (25%) in all cases in order to follow safe distancing measures (7) Sale of eatables on railway stations. And to cover up the losses or burden Railways stopped giving concessions (all type) in ticket bookings.
At present country wide Covid protocols have been relaxed in the country at large with the result travel related Covid protocols are not being followed by the railways - 100% reservations in all the classes is being done flaunting the restriction of safe distancing being most important. Has also permitted online buying and delivery of food. If such is the case THEN WHY - (1) Trains are being run as SPECIALS on the same normal routes (2) if 100% occupancy reservations being done bedrolls are not being supplied (3) no concessions like senior citizen, handicap, cancer patient etc not being provided (4) the pre-covid time table of trains not being switched back (5) pantry cars not operated to supply meals in the trains where fare includes meals also.
Not doing so it is nothing but taking consumer on ride by the national carrier.
I therefore urge the Railway Minister to roll back the pre-covid operations of passenger rail transportation in the country and provide relief to the people at large.
I also request the members of Local Circles to like and comment on this resource so that this can reach a larger audience and where it needs to. Thanks more

The activities of Post-COVID is getting to normalcy, hence Railway should restore normal movement of trains for the convenience of public at large. more
The points raised by Mr. Malhotra merit for favourable consideration. If the Indian Railways feel that the fear of spreading the disease due to non-compliance of Covid Protocols no more exists and the railways can now function to its pre-epidemic strength, the railways must restore all the earlier facilities and services without fail. The Covid menace should not be put in use as a source for extra earnings in illegal ways. The urgent attention of the Railways Minister is drawn towards this important issue for his proactive action immediately. more
Good welfarism in having the greenest transportation yield economies of scale, and scope, insofar as more people opting in, reinvigorating several economic activities along the way such as technology enabled, food ordering using app based tracking, while also continuing expanded freight haulage that happened during the pandemic caused lockdown. The lessons learnt must be used for betting on environmentally sound practices. We have always been a railways driven economy, see the already available vast railway tracks network connecting the remote towns, apart from big cities, so let us embrace that better. more
The fear of covid is milked for profits, inefficiency, laziness, shirking work by nearly every govt deppt except the medical profession who worked tirelessly. Even the police that was initially enjoying hitting hapless citizens with dandaas with gay abundance when started suffering from covid realized that khaki color is not immune to covid , ensconsed themselves in their thanas. Now it is time that all these organisation worked at double efficiency so that GDP which had fallen increases at faster pace. When mr modi can work 18 hours as we are told i think the govt servants working hours be increased to 10 hours per day and sixty hours per week. This saturdays off for govt servants must be scrapped for next three years and their leave and holidays cut down by 30%. They haven't worked for two years but got full salary and allces, now they must compensate the nation by doing over time for next 5 years. All railway services must be fully restored. more
