Research fellowships

In India research fellowship for students working in projects or Ph.D. is not sufficient and because of that many of the students just avoid social events and even don't marry at right time that ultimately leads imbalanced personal life. Being as research student I personally think that research fellowship should be increased to survive better in lab and in society. Research fellowship for JRF should be 25000+HRA, for SRF 30000+HRA and for post doctorate fellow it should be 40000+HRA. This amendment will bring job satisfaction and excitement for doing good in research and for obeying social and familial responsibilities. I am sure this increment will ultimately be beneficial for students and society and it is a good to justify the hard work of students. more

Agreed to Zaveri ji. Also they pay more because they are going to engage you for a product development which have extensive market potential. more
The sad thing is that there is a massive brain drain to countries like the united states where better facilities are availible for research and it is promoted. Even all the qualified indians think of a life abroad and do not contribute to the nation they were born in. I guess most of it was because the immense negativity for the government. We all start thinking that india cannot change but the fact is it CAN! This election was the start of the chage. I already feel positive about my country today and feel a need to do something for it. more
Good, I support that. But please note that you should also appeal to make your research more productive. When somebody finish a PhD, out of that some product should come which is needed in the society. Please don't mind, its not only your business. Believe me, if trend is like that fellowship can raised to the level of Salary or more than that. more
