Requesthelp for EPF of my previous organization,
I use to work in an organozation till Sept 2008. After then i moved out to new company and my PF part has been transfered to new company account. My EPF part is still not withdraw and now i got the new EPF number ib new company. Could you please help me the process to withdraw or transfer my EPF from previous organization to new one. Thanks in advance for your great help to me in this regard.

Dear Mr. Neeraj Dani, This transfer system is also working with inoperative PF account too? I have the same situation, I left the previous employer in 2006 and joined another organization. Now I came to know that IF any PF account is not getting PF account for a 3 years then it becomes inoperative. I tried to get UAN no for this account then I get the msg that the name and birthdate not matching. Actually I am filling the same name which shows in the PF Statment Slip. now birthdate I am filling the correct which mine. so what problem can be? can you guide me in my case? I contacted my previous employer also but they are not giving any response in this matter for withdrawal.

It will be helpful if you generate a UAN corresponding to EPF account so that you can 'view/transfer' the account online. Some people generate 2 UANs (1 for new EPF account, 1 for old), although 1 UAN is also sufficient (you will just have to 'attach' your member ID corresponding to your old EPF account to the UAN). Once you generate and activate UAN account, you can initiate the transfer of money from old EPF account to the new EPF account. While filling up the appropriate form online, it asks whether you want to initiate the transfer/withdrawl through your old office or your new office. Choose whichever is feasible/comfortable to you. On submitting the form online, a contact will be displayed to whom you need to deposit a hard copy of the completed form as well. Do that and your part is done. is the PF number is same as EPF or is there any new number for EPS also?

It is unfortunate that EPFO has set up a website which does not function. Even PF officials don't seem to login to that because they won't update or act on anything. The website says UAN will be activated in 4 days which will appear like that for minimum one month. You have to get the transfer etc. done through your previous employer only - don't depend upon their website please.
