RELIANCE GAS PRICING
Reliance Lawyers are justifying gas price increase by saying that it will benifit ONGC, which a govt company , more than Reliance but do they not know that ONGS/IOC is now only partially owned by Govt. Rest is being owned by FIIs , mutal funds (may be reliance owned also) etc. more

Sanjay Ji you have said correct. Govt should pay attentaion towards changing every industry into profit earning agency. more

The govt who was the representative of the public has become the owner of the public sector companies and can sell its shares to the public or other public sector companies (eg IOC share have been sold to ONGC and oil india ltd for 5200 crores recently) and use ,enjoy the proceeds of the sale as, where and when they want till all the public sector companies have been sold.In fact the role of the govt should be limited to that of a representative of the public and it should not be allowed to sell any part of the public sector companies and only manage and improve there performance for the benefit of the public. more

It is a well documented fact that AAM AADMI or the COMMON INDIAN CITIZEN always is constrained to take the brunt of footing the bill on almost all aspects and more (apart from a few listed above by Chakresh Jainji). It is not only the tax that is borne by the poor, middle class or the salaried class but all of the hikes in prices that are the cascading effects of certain Govt. polices where the Govt. policies favor price hikes for concocted assumptions and often US $ is quoted where Indian Rupee is a poor show. The Govt. takes refuge in the US $ improving its value and feigns helplessness that constrains them to pass the buck on the US $ effect does not even once think if it is the right thing or comparison to do when: a) this Govt. can not give to the COMMON INDIAN CITIZEN what US Govt. gives to its Americans, b) this Govt. does not enforce the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution to the COMMON INDIAN CITIZEN. c) this Govt. shields and protects erring Banks, insurance companies, big corporates despite the law provisions state to the contrary and allows the innocent and suffering victim to meet slow and painful living to culminate in tarnished death. d) to such an end as at (c) above the Govt. would happily wash its hands by stating that there are Ombudsmen, Regulatory Authorities, Courts etc. which are, in effect puppets and no worse than the the perpetrators of illegalities to gain undue riches. e) govt. would happily confiscate the properties of an individual as has happened in the case of a corrupt official when his Prithviraj Road mansion was confiscated because he could not protect himself as do the influencing Banks, Insurance companies and big corporates who are also in politics despite their wrong doings are irrefutable with documentary evidence where they continue to flourish and expand their business instead of impounding their assets. So, brothers and sisters, what should a COMMON INDIAN CITIZEN do under the rampantly prevailing situation of imposed sufferings for no fault of his or her own? This could be food for thought. more
