Regulate Sale of Acids that can cause injury

Time and again we have seen men throwing acid on women in cases of relationships gone sour, revenge etc. In this recent case bought through ecommerce platforms. It sells everywhere in markets too. Can we please make this a regulated sales product with heavy penalties on sellers for non- regulated sales? more

We hardly have a provision of Capital Punishment, unless this is done more, nothing is going to Improve. more
Law of the land is too weak to punish anyone having lot of sub-sections. Judgments should be announced with in a time frame. more
all methods use like acids /knives etc used for such activities need to be regulated but where we will have an issue is in the implementation and lawyers will use their usual to confuse the people unless it is very clear. more
Yes, sale of acids above concentration levels beyond domestic use should be regulated more
Manuel Aaron: Crimes are also committed by knives. If we regulate the sale of acids, we will also have to regulate the sale of knives, even the small, ordinary ones which can kill. I am sure that there are enough laws to punish acid throwers. Our main problem is we don't have enough honest law enforcing personnel. We have to draw our own conclusions when we see fat, pot-bellied officials strutting around crime scenes. Relieving them and replacing them by disciplined police personnel is the need of the hour, not more laws and regulations! more
Sale of weapons is regulated. Still a very large number of weapons are manufactured and sold with license. In murder cases all sorts of weapons including iron rods are used. Regulating sale of acid or weapons will not help in reducing the crime rate. more
