We are concerned about school holidays but what about the teachers working on contractual appointment and their unlimited working hours they all have to work for nearly 9- 10 hrs, with no extra benefits ,even their PF is also not deducted which is mandatory n the TDOor DDO never bothers . How such schools are given permission. They don't have bare minimum infrastructure like parking, playground, first aid or even teachers . Let us discuss on these issues rather than holidays . Schools have no Disaster Management plan , in the name extracurricular activities charging heavy fees, less say is better n yes last but not least, where is Bhar vagarnu Bhanatar? more
All other countries have minimum days as holidays . Here the GOi and states have very liberal views quoting secularism. Where is the productivity ? We must bring it to just ten per year .Mostly national .religious holidays based on individual religions is like reservation system.Stopthem .No optional holidays . Schools can have but courts should not have . more
I am impressed by the idea of Sh. Kirtilal Shah of reducing holidays and increasing casual leaves. more
It is heartening to know that UP govt. is going to reduce holidays. In this connection I suggest that there should not be any holidays except the three national holidays. Instead, the casual leaves should be increases by 8 or 10 days, which the employees can avail by turns for holidaying or attending their personal functions. As such about 90% of the people sit at home and while away their time on a holiday. If the holidays are cancelled and casual leaves are increased, man working days and productivity will increase and employees will also feel glad. Some incentive can be given by allowing them to encash a part of the leave. more
Please provide more holidays to schools and government office, and reduce the mandatory hours of working per day to 6 hours. It is responsibility of the manager to get the work done / move the team member to a different team in the same panchayat - not the job of the attendance monitoring system. more
