Are AC manufacturers having a cartel

In less than 100 days AC manufacturers have raised prices by 8-13% and no questions are being asked.

The Government yesterday announced a PLI scheme for them too.

Shouldn’t CCI ie Competition Commission of India be investigating if there is carteling at play here? more

Due to Corona and increase in Fuel price, the inflation is very high and made life miserable for middle class citizens. Even interest rate reduction has further added fire to the fuel for Non Pensioner Senior Citizens. It is high time Govt has to give some relief to this category. more
MOST WHITE GOODS MANUFACTURERS INCLUDING TEXTILE UNITS AND MANY OTHER MFG.UNITS SUFFERED BUSINESS LOSSES LAST YEAR OWING TO COVID AND RELATED LOCKDOWNS .IT IS ONLY EXPECTED THAT THESE BUSINESS UNITS WOULD MAKE EVERY ENDEAVOUR TO RECOVER THEIR LOSSES BY PRICE INCREASE WHEREVER POSSIBLE. IN ANY CASE AC AND OTHER HIGH VALUE GOODS ARE NOT IN THE ESSENTIAL LIST OF PRICE CONTROL OF GOVT. EVEN STEEL AND CEMENT AND VARIOUS COMMODITIES HAVE GONE UP DRASTICALLY. WE ARE IN AN INFLATIONARY ECONOMY BUT THE MIDDLE CLASS AND SENIOR CITIZENS ARE MADE TO SUFFER IMMENSELY BY THE REDUCTION IN INTEREST ON THEIR LONG TERM SAVINGS. THIS MAKES A MOCKERY OF INCREASING THE TAX EXEMPTION LIMITS. more
The price rise is due to summer season and people shifting towards comfort zone. more
Due to increase in patrol and diesel price the prices are sure to go up and 10% increase in the price is not a big thing. If there is a cartel then it is a fit case for CIC and CIC should be contacted for take Suo motto cognizance into the matter as per the rule of law a single rupee cannot be extorted from the public any any means. more
This govt watched when JIO gave free data for one year which is against all principles of fair competition. So do nt expect anything.AS somebody pointed we are in an inflation spiral.Raw material prices are going up may be they have no option but to raise prices more
it is not unfair to give free internet facility to the large number of people and it was given for the testing and evaluated purpose more
