MR DEVIDAS NAVALKELE THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH ONE OF MY FRIENDS ALSO IN JABALPUR FORTUNATELY HIS BROTHER WAS A LAWYER AND WHEN HE ISSUED A COUNTER NOTICE THEY SAID "SORRY, ITS A CLERICAL MISTAKE'. ITS OUR INDIAN POLITICS WHICH HAS GIVEN THEM THIS CLOUT. UNFORTUNATELY IN INDIA THE GOVT. DOSEN'T HELP OR SUPPORT ITS PEOPLE .IT TRIES TO EXPLOIT AND CRUSH THEM . RIGHT NOW I AM IN SAUDI ARABIA AND HERE I SEE HOW GOVT. HELPS AND SUPPORTS ITS PEOPLE EXTREMELY WELL. I THINK OUR DEMOCRACY IS A FARCE ITS BETTER TO HAVE A GOOD DICTATOR. more  

Mr Navalkele, one thing we can surely do as consumers is to boycott reliance comm services and also spread the word around. We can afford this as there are alternative players in the field. This should force them to mend their ways if they want to continue business. more  

Here I would like to put forward the practice followed by Reliance communications for their modem which I faced some 6-7 years back . When i purchased ( for Rs. 2250.00) the modem from their shop in Dombivali with post paid bill by filling and signing ( without reading the two page content - unreadable very small letters) the form and asked for the photocopy of the form they didn't provide me. Instead of 2 hrs they took a day to activate it. When started to use, within 24 hrs the modem stopped working , the msg was heavy uses of data , pay Rs 1100.00 . I was aware that I am not using the modem so heavily and the bill cannot be Rs. 1100.00. I was out of station and arranged to pay that , then it was activated . Again just after 24 hrs this same massage got repeated and asked to pay Rs 900.00 , the modem stopped working. I was annoyed and stopped the use of modem. When I returned went to the shop and asked for the details of the heavy usage of data. The shop fellow told me, the owner is not their and come later. Went for the next day , this same answer. Because of heavy work load , I just thought of not wasting time further. I started to get the massages that I should pay the bill Rs. 1100.00. I didn't care. This continued for 3 months and the bill got raised to 2950.00 Rs.. The tel. calls and emails from them continued, I didn't care. One day I got a registered notice from a lawyer by Name Mr. Mohammad with address of Colaba , Mumbai. I answered him in detail and putting in bold letters that further communications and settlement will take place in the MNS office in Dombivli. From that day onwards there was no communication. But I lost my Rs 2250 .00 plus Rs 1100.00 without much use of modem and could just think of how many such a victims like me they might have created in their business. One need to develop a system to stop such practices by such companies. more  

Today the reliance groups of companies are on the top of the list of the Indian corporate houses. They reached this milestone comparatively in a shorter span of time. Obviously, they have not accumulated such huge wealth only through fair business. Their stature is so high now that they have a say in national economic policy making. Reliance had never been its consumer friendly neither it had ever made any contribution towards nation building. Its only policy is to grab the entire wealth of the nation and make it dancing in their way. Our people are aware of the tactics of the group to befool people but we, indians, love to gulp a bait and bewail thereafter. Our government need to be courageous enough to take action against such corporate houses engaged in dubious activities. more  

I agree with you and have one similar incident in my knowledge. I would urge consumers to be careful about opting for any service from reliance communications as they are unprofessional. Here is an incident of their indifference and high handedness towards consumers. This happened some 3 years back. One of my colleagues used reliance communications broadband for sometime and then requested disconnection. Suddenly after few months one fine day he got court notice for non-payment of dues. He was forced to shell out money for a period when the service was not used at all. Obviously he decided against fighting reliance in court ... more
