Rate list of the items on sale in the Jagatpuri market
This market (Jagat Puri) is very famous for the Marvel, stone, tiles and bathroom fittings, besides other items relating to house building . It is visited by hordes of people for the purchase of these goods from the hundreds of shops in the market.
I also visited the market for the same purpose.
I, however, , noted that the dealers, in the above said goods, did not show the sale price on the goods or separately on the walls for the benefit of the customers. I found some times for the bath room fittings they quoted more price than the MRP on the packing of the item, which they generally do not show until and unless called for. They are at times are charging the people price even more than the MRP( which is generally inclusive of nearly a discount of 20% to 30% allowable to the customers). When asked to give reason why they are not showing the rates on each item, or on the walls and not showing the original packing of the goods, the answers were quite evasive, and illogical.
Through this column, I wish to request the concerned authorities to investigate and take suitable action against the defaulting dealers.
