Rains, flooding of Hyderabad -blaming the citizens as encroachers!
It is ridiculous that every year the official machinery and ruling political heavy weights continue to utter the same .
Flooding has many causes heavy fall, lack of preparedness, lack of city planning ,inadequacy of stormwater drains capacity and finally the lakes are not protected .
All constructions have taken place after full permissions from GHMC and the departments concerned including forest, irrigation, pollution control board,HMDA.
All have approval from city planners .
Then why are authorities continue to dub all.constructions as illegal encroachments on drains after issuing permission from.their own officialmachnery.!
Own up ,make your effort to alleviate the publics owes and stop blaming, bull dozing every year any construction you think is obstructing the flood of rain water.
They must have identification of the cause, scientific study ,analysis and then consult experts in the field as it has become a recurrent phenomenon.
Citizens are frustrated, lost ,confused and thinking of relocating if this continues every year.
Most worst disaster management seen in Telangana.. Officials are collecting bribe from flood relief fund of Rs.10k.. 2k is collected as bribe.. Corporator is waste and no official listen to them..For every free service officials collecting money..wrong practice.. All flood problems only because of government.. See the Wellkin apartments in Begumpet..it is constructed on Nala. Till today no one stopped work.. All are unauthorized.. no one can save us.. I lost car scooter and other items.. we know the real pain

In the garb of natural calamity, the government should not absolve itself of the responsibility for the flooding marooning, inundation, building collapses, choking of sewerage lines, water contamination, or encraching upon public land or occuping the footpaths and lake fronts etc. If the people who have occupied or the people who were responsible to attend to the maintenance work are responsibile, why is the government waking up now. and giving public statements that they will bring down unauthorised constructions or encrachments. What were the officials doing all these months and years, when illegal construction or encroachment was happening. The government shoudl hang its head and quit summarily. Raghavan AVS
