Racold also profiteering
Seems like most brands are profiteering and not giving consumer due benefit of reduced rates. See attached Racold 25 ltr geyser mrp 11690 on july 25, 2018 and now that same geyser should have mrp of 10500 as tax rate reduced from 28 to 18%. But instead mrp has been increased to 13500. Pls book them both screenshots attached. more

Mr. Ahuja, this circle is for raising issues - right. But the circle members have no statutory authority for any action. Please tell me if any opinion from earlier discussion has been sent to any authority. If not what are we trying to achieve? Which law forbids or limits the manufacturer to earn a profit? How many of us know how to work out the cost of a product and its variation from one manufacturer to another? There are thousands and thousands of items. Do we take up each item separately? The pressure from the customers and competitors can force a manufacturer to offer better quality or a more competitive price / after sales service. Let us use this forum to help each other for difficulties which we face in fields like choice of a product or the after sales service. more

Everyone has the right to fix the MRP, margin etc. I recommend that you check the date of Manufacture as the first point. Racold Interno 2. 25 V- 25- Litre vertical water heater (white/ Blue). the other one ------ Racold Interno 2. 25 Litre, 2 KW, storage water heater. (White with metallic Blue strip) .... The specifications given seem to be somewhat different. Could that be the reason for the price? Not at all sure, but could be a cause. more
