Protect consumers from being influenced by celebrities appearing in Ads

In our country there are clear Acts/Rules to protect consumers. We all might have seen the advertise on T V channels that if we find any misleading advertisement on T V channels we can file court case against the company and if company fails to explain its misleading statements, company is liable for punishment as per Laws. Actually, we must create awareness amongst people to fight against exaggerated/misleading/fraud advertisements. If we file cases on every wrong advertisements, companies may get lessons and thereafter may not indulge into it. We can not stop celebrities to advertise companies products but we can sue for exaggerated advertisements on the company and the celebrity as well. more

Few advertise mislead the consumers, specially advertise related to childrens. Once they saw these ads They demand that products & they get that by hook or crook. In such cases parents should educate their child. Advertisement related to food should be taken seriously. I agree to praveen shah, that we should raise the voice as per law. more
Celebrities are not to be blamed and they do business where as we have to find fault with the companies for their unethical marketing/publicity Advts. G.K.Naidu, Hyderabad more

Lot of cheating is happening with the most of the public and nobady is able to prevent or stop. I think so many people are being cheated and culprits are able to escape as I have noticed in my life. G.K.Naidu, Hyderabad more
Every add is little overplayed and as a lawyer I have come across many cases under the competition act-- for eg: Palmolive and Colgate as disparaging add regarding tooth paste. Yet it is not enough. One of the reason being the time consuming and expensive legal process. A common man must be able to understand. Only then sellers will be doubly careful to give false add. more
