Pre pone summer vacation for school students

Local Circle survey shown 50% students have internets, laptops and printers for online classes for students. It is difficult for the students belongs to poor families to participate in online classes from home. Moreover there is no policy and guidelines. Impractical experience will add further burden on parents.
Any review for reopening of schools, the safety of students and teachers is important
Therefore in case lockdown is extended, Centre should pre pone summer vacation of schools from Jun to Apr for a period of one month or lock down period be considered as summer vacation so that academic days are not lost.
School fee should also be waived up to 50% as students are not using school infrastructure and any other facilities during this period. As many parents cannot afford fees in the prevailing situation. more

Summer vacations are not for the sake of enjoying vacation but to protect the wards from the risk of sun stroke, as major parts of the country reel under very high temperature crossing 48 degree Celsius in some areas during May & June. Incidence of sun stroke death during this period in different parts is very common. Therefore, it is not recommended to forgo the summer vacations for the reasons given in the post. Instead, the authorities concerned in consultation with the respective governments may work out suitable strategies to get the syllabus completed within the remaining period of the session. more
