Practical Tips to Find your way

1. If someone is angry over you for something you did or didn't do, make it a point to stand next to them and not in front of them. This would make them calm down because then, you won't come across as a threat and they would feel like you are not arguing or counter questioning. Standing with someone also makes them think of you as a friend and not an enemy. This can also be done when someone is confronting you for something you did.

2. If you have to take a favor from someone, instead of saying, "Can you help me?" say "I need your help." That way, they would be in a fear of guilt if they don't help you, and would try harder to help you out. Smart or wicked? You decide.

3. If you are stuck in a conversation but really need to reassure the other person that you are listening, try and repeat what they said after rephrasing what you just heard. This gives them the feeling that you are an active part of the conversation, while you know the truth better, right?

4. Nodding your head while you are talking will make the other person agree to what you are saying. The science behind this? When you nod, they nod and when they nod, they subconsciously think that they agree with you. Tricky much, eh? Don't overdo or you would be suspected of some kind of body-control disorder.

5. Now this one is crazy. You are in office, and you know that there is someone who doesn't like you. Normally, being the stud that you are, you wouldn't care, but what if that person is your boss? That is a pickle to be in, right? How about asking them to lend you a pencil, or an eraser for that matter? This is the smallest favor that they can do to you, and would kind of break some ice between you. They would also subconsciously think that they don't hate you as much as they thought they did. more
