Subject : TRAI policy on data(internet) usage metering, billing and bandwidth
Internet usage through broadband/3G/4G has become very prevalent in recent years. There is policy regarding itemized billing of calls/SMSs, however there is no corresponding policy on data. Clear cut policy is required regarding data usage metering and billing as well as bandwidth to protect consumers and prevent providers from overcharging.
This post marked inappropriate by local circles manager (am not mentioning name here) . I want to understand what is inappropriate here ?? Also it was written "IF this is repeated, we will be forced to black list your business." . I have not listed any business here or directly/indirectly part of any kind of business whatsoever . I wrote it just as a concerned consumer as is clear from the post.
If it happened by mistake, it's OK. Otherwise it's very INAPPROPRIATE ....

This is the case with many of the data card providers. They refuse to change from the post paid to pre-paid services. I had to pay much more than the normal rate when I wanted to do this with my Photon Wi-Fi while going overseas for a long time and there was no one to take care of monthly charges in India. Chenging from post paid to prepaid should be mandatory. The consumer should have to choice.

In India we have 3G and there is no 4G as government is yet to auction 4G it is only an advanced version of 3G may be just above 3.5G which is wrong propaganda by AIRTEL Trai has to ban that Advertisement and regulate the price for internet usage in 3G and the advance version of 3G as both are faster than 2G and download will be maximum.

Sorry Sir, I thought the local circles manager's name is Rohit Chahal who marked my post inappropriate. My post was quoted in the "message marked inappropriate" email instead of Rohit Chahal's comment, that caused my confusion. If possible please quote the comment/message actually marked as inappropriate in email to avoid such confusion and misunderstanding. Thank you and my best wishes for your good work on this site ...

Dear Mr. Shyam - Kindly review the message again. It was to an individual named Rohit Chahal whose account has been disabled for self promoting his business. Believe you have received it as he commented on one of your posts. Your post on TRAI is 100% valid and has nothing inappropriate. Sorry for the confusion.
