Police Corruption when criminals collude with police
Attached is in hindi but it illustrates how police in India colludes with crooks all the time and makes money. When two parties are involved they make even more money and in many many cases the dough goes up the chain in cash or kind.

Problem lies with the society as well as the executive including political executive. Society lacks scruples and almost every one is interested in getting his/ her job done (whether lawful & just or not) by crook or hook and those responsible for those functions, being from the same society are equally unscrupulous and want to maximise their income by exploiting the situation. Net result is that honest people suffer. But it’s the tenacious among them who contribute a lot for the welfare of society and nation Had the political executive been honest in enforcing rule of law, things would have been different. In the circumstances, instead of complaining about corruption, be one among the tenaciously honest people. As their tribe grows over a period of time, nation will become honest and civilised. more

Instead of blaming govt. or Police we should improve ourselves. We want easy way out instead of following the law and fighting for our rights. We employ dalals/brokers for any Govt. work instead of following ourselves. Obviously other people will make money because of our laziness/ego/ego of easy money ( usually collected through doubtful means.) more

This is very common in sizeable numbers. The income of the patron does not matter. It is the morality structure of the society and individual. more

What action is taken ? OR what will take ? Nothing . Suspension for 2-3 months & then join duty as previous. This increases the Corruption as criminals are backed by politicians , interference and there is no control over lower rank peoples who makes the report / files. more

भरस्टाचार हमारे सिस्टम में है सिर्फ़ पुलिस को दोष देने से कुछ नहीं होगा - हम खुद को आइने में देखें तो पता चल जाएगा और इसकी शुरुआत तो बच्चे के जन्म से शुरू हो कर मौत तक चलती है - चाहे जन्म प्रमाण पत्र हो या मृत्यु क्या आराम से मिल जाता है - नहीं तो फिर पूरे सिस्टम को सुधारना होगा जो प्रजातांत्रिक ढाँचे से नहीं हो पाएगा। more
