Please help by answering this set of questions, it wont take much time
as a doctor and a diabetician, i have very commonly come across people who are diabetics, have high sugars, have been explained the benefits of insulin over tabs, but still prefer to avoid insulin. my question is simple, to all diabetics and prediabetics, who are on or off insulin-
"how long have you been diabetic? what have you been on -insulin or tabs?
for those who are on insulin- was it your first choice? if not, why did you resist?
for those on tabs, would you choose insulin? if not then why not?"
please respond in as much details as possible. nondiabetics, please refrain from speculations
they are trying pancreatic transplant and even gene therapy. but it will take more time Mr Gulzar.

Thanks Dr. Saumya Mittal and Mr. J.M. Sharma. I am not on insulin but don't you think life is more cumbersome when you pinch in your body before all meals, that too everyday and all your life. Is there no invention to produce insulin in the body with some ayurvedic medicines or any other method to supply insulin as required in the body without pinching in the body everyday? It is my query since long. Is there any new research on this subject? Everyday the diabetes is spreading like a epidemic but most of the medicine control the b'sugar level it never produce insulin.

Mr Gulzar, Insulin is a medicine and you take it according to the needs of the body. Now why do you think it is addictive? Cause you take it to control sugars and live? Dont you do the same with the tablets? Stop the tablet, and sugars may rise to life threatening levels too. So that way, tablets are addictive too. And in fact that way all medicines are addictive, whether for heart attach or hypertension...........
