Plastic ban

Several products that use single-use plastic are banned from Today. These include cutlery items such as plates, cups, glasses, forks, spoons, knives, trays, etc. Other products that come under the ban are earbuds, balloon sticks, cigarette packs, sweet boxes, candy and ice cream sticks, invitation cards, polystyrene used for decoration, and PVC banners measuring under 100 microns.

Though ban is there corrupt state govt officers won’t enforce and make
Money from it actually. Can we all, each one of us commit to share a picture when we see a violation happening.

If we do that we will be Gandhi ji’s be the change u wish to see. Otherwise atmchair activism wouldn’t do much good. more

Is this banned include manufacturing of such banned items? more
Shop keepers are least bothered. When I try to point out to them that single use plastic is banned and they should use paper wrappers they only give a sly smile. more
Reusable, washable and foldable cloth like bags is good to reduce single use plastics. Better ban the production rather than controlling the banned items. If we allow production for income and ban for popularity, no one can help us. more
I should look first to whether I am carrying begs and small bowls and metal boxes with me to buy from vendors, shop keepers, vegetable, eatbles, loose grains etc, so that I can straight way refuse to vendor for carry begs. Giving lecture to others is easy, following no plastic and disposables for me and my family is most difficult. See your life style honestly. more
Which comes first, the demand or the supply has been made the key question for over a decade that we have been been faced with this problem. Problems are 2 fold, one is the process and technology being geared towards production of plastics, which just needs changing them, although this could make the products costlier, and the other being our habits in asking for a bag when we need to carry something, made from SINGLE USE PLASTIC. With our huge consumerist population, nearing 1.39 billion people, both should happen together. Demand exerts pressure, which industry fulfils. Government must enforce the plastic ban understanding this demand-supply hyphenation. The planet, immediately India certainly, would, as a result, become cleaner. more
