Petrol & Diesel Price Raising everyday
We are seeing petrol & diesel rate increasing everyday without any control and successive govts whether it is Central Or State are just mute spectators and neither helping common man and poor middle class, any rise in essentail commondities is burden on middle class becos they are the one who pay taxes honestly and facing all hardships, rich never bothered becos they earn in other way and least bothered !! Govt should do something to cap on this else in next election people may ask for change !!
When Govt is transperant, people believe to some extent, but opposition people should restrict them taking undue advantage and ruling Govt must educate peoplr

Mr Shyamsuder Joshijis Contention & warning is alarming. Both Central & State Governments need to act fast. It can be done in steps as under:- 1 As a first quick measure Central Government can cut their share of Tax on fuel & ask State Governments to consult all parties to reduce States share of tax voluntarily, but immediately, without concession from Central Govt. This will show how much ruling & opposition parties care & how far political leaders are capable to decide collectively for the benefit of a common man. 2 We Indians do not bother to use Public Transport as it is inefficient. This is result of laxity, chalata hai attitude of Public Transport employees. Big Cars & two wheelers are Status symbols for owners & even students. In Pune & Pimpri Chinchwad, bus time tables are not observed, connectivity is bad. Few years back Mr Ratan Tata offered to take over always Debt ridden PMPL, alongwith employees & maintenance department, but Corporators of all parties in both Municipal corporation did not allow it. Similarly Mr Tukaram Mundhe, efficient IAS Commissioner of PMPL worked for 2 years to tighten belt but was transferred by all party corporators without completing his term. This can be stopped by Privatization with Power to Local governments to decide fares like Metro Rail Ticket fare. Central Government can put Presidents Ordinance to hand over Debt ridden or inefficient Public transport companies from Municipal Corporations, State transport to Private operators with assets, employees ( transferable) & liabilities written down in 5-15 years by Tax relief to Private Operators like Sharma, KGN, Vijayant. It will create more employment by competition than common man a victim of Public Sector Poilitcians Unions. 3 It appears that both UPA & NDA governments allowed Fuel Pricing formula without any link to Refinery Manufacturing Cost. This is GROSS MISTAKE. It should rectified so that, Common Man will benefit. The Present formula saves government without paying subsidy to Oil Companies. If Fuel price is linked to refining plus crude oil purchase cost.It will be realistic. It will create competition in cash Rich Giant Oil Companies. They will add to more modern refinery plants, increasinge employment. 4.I recall way back in 1970- 1980 s Mr H N Bahuguna was Petroleum Minister in Congress Government. He had proclaimed by 2010 India will become self sufficient or exporter of Refined fuels. Congress must clarify why Planning failed?

Pricing of crude oil is global. What all any government can do is reduce/eliminate taxes. Government can sell at below cost, but this will add to the government deficit/debt. A more sustained solution would be to reduce consumption either by employing technology (electric/hybrid vehicles), or by using public transportation. For public transportation, we need to upgrade our infrastructure such as better and faster roads. I am sure there would be a whole host of other challenges. Do we, the people, have the gumption to face such challenges? Do our government officials have the willingness for improvements? My bet is ALL of us, people and the government, would prefer status quo by complaining.

Both Central and State Govts must reduce taxes.Or fuel should be brought under GST.

The only thing which state and Centre Govt can do is to reduce their taxes on petroleum products, besides taking care of rupee value. Besides these who can control international prices ? And why the consumer should not pay the price applicable in the market. Even if it is subsidized, who will pay for the subsidy. Let us get out of the thinking of subsidy and start paying the market price for the products we use. There is no control on our life style and luxury products use, but start crying whenever prices of any daily use product(s) go up. Control your usage, start paying the price which is applicable and force the Govt. to increase efficiency/efficacy of its managing the economy. R C mBerry
