Parking Mafia of Delhi

I strongly believe there exists a parking mafia in Delhi. This parking mafia is operate by business men who are no where in the picture from day today standpoint.

Arvind Kejriwal has got to crack this mess. Whereever parking is there, revenue should go to Government. It will help bossing Govt revenue officially, reduce bribery and bad doings.

AAP and LocalCircles are requested to conduct this discussion in detail. more

So, there are many source of revenues, government should not ask excuses on the ground of revenue for parking. more

Yes, there is a huge parking mafia. most of roads have been captured by the mafia and earn big amount without paying any tax to the Govt which should be curbed immediately. more

put on website, the exact parking location areas (authorised) with rates. recently there was some news on no parking to be allowed on black top. its effectiveness and applicable locations should be put in full public domain. options like allowing and publicising renting of private spaces for parking (simple installation of parking meter and issue of parking smart cards required). These maybe short term measures. as long term measures, a proper study covering vehicle growth rate, parking requirements, measures to curb parking requirement, auctioning of driving rights for limited periods despite the license( singapore model) be got initiated through CRRI or some assistance from Indian Road Congress and SIAM etc. ( fund sources) more
