PAN becomes invalid if not linked with Aadhaar
Note on Clause 41 of Finance Bill 2019
Clause 41 of the Bill seeks to amend section 139AA of the Income-tax Act relating to quoting of Aadhaar number.
Proviso to sub-section (2) of the said section provides for deeming the permanent account number allotted to a person invalid, in case the person fails to intimate the Aadhaar number, on or before a date to be notified in the Official Gazette.
It is proposed to amend the said proviso so as provide that if a person fails to intimate the Aadhaar number, the permanent account number allotted to such person shall be made inoperative after the notified date in the manner as may be provided by rules.
This amendment will take effect from 1st September, 2019.

Despite updating biometrics twice my fingerprints don't match. Equipment utilized for data collection and verification is useless.

Whether it is preparation of the PANCARD, AADHAAR CARD, or Voter ID Card, or any other identity card, the problem lies with the people who operate at the ground level, collecting the various identification points of an individual, as they at times deliberately do the wrong entries - wrong spellings of the name, wrong address, date of birth, etc. etc. Unless these people are pulled up stringently, there will be no accurate data and uploading and security. Pancard will Aadhaar Nr should be sufficient.

Biometric fingerprint in Aadhaar is recorded is either taken by defective because I have I have updated twice and still whenever I have to use it, it fails. Where as In my Mobile it is working very well.

There is no Aadhar card of corporates, Partnership Firms and Co-op Societies. If their PAN Card will be invalid as mentioned, in that situation how will they file their IT Returns.
