Oxygen Preparedness

11 states of India only have 25% of their oxygen supplies functional. Can we do something to improve this situation.

Given what happened during 2nd wave why do we as a country want to take chance again? more

What appears to me is, that it is about government hospitals in India where there is 25% only of the demand is available whereas most of the available oxygen in the country is passed on to private hospitals in the country at higher rates. And, it is largely because of the prevailing corruption besides the government policy of promoting private business. more
Govt. Hospitals float annual tenders for 02. Sudden spurt in
demand is the root cause. Instead
of putting in quick and best efforts,
States rush to the courts to get
maximum gas. How courts can better manage production, transportation and
distribution of 02 ? more
State governments can prepare themselves, without depending on Central government. Some states only want opportunity to blame the Center. more
Less said the better about prevailing State Government in Maharashtra. more
If its true than it is really unfortunate that the state governments have not learnt a lesson from the second wave which created havoc in the country. If this time they fail to deliver in the event of need, only and only the state governments concerned should be blamed for their utter negligence and audacity. Its really surprising that despite the central government's regular directives and emphasising the need to increase oxygen production and keep all the related systems working at all times, some of the states pay little attention to these important aspects despite the warning for the third wave of the epidemic, which is likely to be more deadlier! Its unfortunate that everything in this country is mixed with politics even if our people's lives are at stake. more
Some States, as a policy, consider it great to oppose any Central
Advisory which ultimately leads
to pandemic. more
