Online Gaming must be banned in all states

I am just super super thrilled to share that the efforts of LocalCircles have yielded results in Karnataka and these online games involving money including likes of fantasy cricket and sports have all been banned in Karnataka. If you care about your next and generations there after, you must escalate this to your state govt and get this banned.

These entities and people managing them are so smart they have purchased or incentivised a lot of organisations including leading newspapers and channels.

The Karnataka government has notified the Karnataka Police (Amendment) Act, 2021, banning all formats of online games involving wagering, betting and gambling of all nature and forms in the state.
Soon after the notification on Tuesday, several gaming apps began sending messages to users that law in the state does not permit such games.
Under the amended act, online gaming is considered a non-bailable offence with fines up to Rs 1 lakh and imprisonment of up to 3 years.

Aside from banning games of skill, the government has banned online games that use “electronic means and virtual currency, electronic transfer of funds in connection with any game of chance” more

I support the banning of online gamming. more
Banning is not the solution. Creating awareness however is the right move. more
Online fantasy sports has created havoc in the minds of the children and they are mad for various games. It is the parents, who should keep a watch on their wards and control them and explain them about the bad effects. more
Selective Ban on certain activities is not good. Betting on horse races is allowed. Lottery System is allowed which is also a form of gambling. Ban do not serve any purpose and lead to corruption. Therefore all types of betting and gambling should be allowed. Every body can not afford to indulge in such activities.. Government should make it legal and collect GST. Rules may be framed to prevent misuse of the system like fixing of cricket matches etc. more
In addition to this all casinos and Futures
trading of all commodities/shares be banned. more
Banning legally is easy. It however leads to corruption. Also in this electronic age, there are many avenues to reach the banned items. Pornography is banned, but it is not effective at all. So the publishers and broadcasters need to be controlled for the 'ban' to be effective. more
