Ola uber have become autod

Why should I pay an extra 100-150 bucks for a cab when they're just like autos, without ACs because drivers won't turn them on? Seriously, what's the incentive to choose cabs anymore? more

Simple physics. Cab operators think that they are saving money in terms of reduced fuel consumption by turning the AC off and they don’t understand that opposite is true, more in excess than what is required to run the AC. After turning the AC off they will have to keep windows open that creates a negativity in aerodynamism of the vehicle, which causes the air to push the vehicle backwords, and more fuel is required to combat the opposing air force. Also, keeping windows always open causes dust, dirt, and pollution to enter the vehicle which increases cleaning and maintenance cost of vehicle. Additionally, creature discomfort. more
Try uber, Ola in Chennai, with digital payment. You will never travel by auto or cab. more
Lowest common denominator principle. Technology took fare taxis another level. In the US Uber's counterpart Lyft good. Education needed? more
1 . Cab operators think that they are saving money in terms of reduced fuel consumption by turning the AC off and they don’t understand that opposite is true. As, after turning the AC off they will have to keep windows open that creates a negativity in aerodynamism of the vehicle, which causes the air to push the vehicle backwords, and more fuel is required to combat the negative air force. 2. keeping windows always open causes Dust, Dirt, pollution enter the vehicle which increases cleaning and maintenance cost of vehicle. 3. To check the above one may try to run a cab or car at approx. 100 kmph with all the windows closed then try to open all the windows at that speed, one may observe about 20% immediate reduction in speed at same accelerator level or you may say that 20% more fuel will be required to maintain same speed by keeping the windows open. That is exactly much more in excess than what is required to run the AC. 4. All cab operators will be surprised to know that they are actually losing, and they will certainly understand some day that they were playing nonsense by thinking that they are saving fuel by turning the AC off and keeping windows open. more
Very interesting. Hope what you say is scientifically proven. If so, this is good information. more
