Snooty Delihites need harsh laws , strict implementation and lessons in new way to live, work and travel , only odd & even number policy will not work. Lets make it compulsory that only mode of transportation in Delhi will be by public transport-be it taxi or metro . Car companies hibernate or innovate to deal with car congestion. Reducing the number of cars in the city thus must be our only goal . Let the people of the city learn that instead of wasting time in traffic jams they could be spent it picnic ing in the nearest colony forests. There is life beyond cars and it is pleasant and easy. Let every one work towards and enjoy cleaner and greener Delhi. more
The Proposal to allow Even-Odd Numbered Cars on alternate Days seems to be very Good but is it practical feasible in Delhi which has no such Infrastructure that a person can attend his work ?? If a person is just disabled to earn his regular livelihood how will he survive & will it not lead to rise in Crime ?? The Process is successful in many countries but firstly need to be well aware of the Infrastructure there, the quantum of problem, the time at which the problem identified & resolved amicably keeping the comfort of people at top priority. here in Delhi the way it is being proposed, it will simply snatch his Fundamental Right to move within his own City & country. Think what a Senior Citizen who has meager income do as he can't afford to have 2 cars. What will happen to the Privately hired Drivers by the people having only one car. will they hire only for Alternate days ? What will happen to the Livelihood of such people who depend on the Income through doing duties related to Driving, Cleaning the Cars. Most of the people are using cars as Last mile connectivity for Metro. How will they be able to reach metro? We need to think of some Plausible solution by having the practical & real Field observations & doing some hard work to resolve the Issue sincerely & in a human manner. Just denying Services is no way a Solution. (Denial of service type activity is actually Termed as "Malware"/ "Virus" in Computer Terminology as reported by the well known DOS attack.) more
Latest Jugaad suggests that this scheme will be a great success. If we know our Delhi people, they will NOT have two cars with different number plates but will have two number plates and change them every day. Police men who recognize it will simply wink and collect hafta Read more at: http://www.moneycontrol.com/news/current-affairs/delhi39s-odd-even-schemelessons-fromcobra-effect_4491141.html?utm_source=ref_article more
Most of people are agree with Govt and are very happy in compliance of policy but should be in letter and spirit ie all ministers and MLA or politicians or officers should come under the umbrella of this rule otherwise this policy will be harassment to the common person. more
It is a welcome step as it has drawn attention towards the alarming rise in air pollution and has initiated a discussion among citizens ,Car pooling has been just discussed ,now is the time to implement it.Problem of abandoned cars and vehicles will be addressed. Only one car per flat should be allowed and a heavy green tax and parking tax be imposed on subsequent cars. Shared auto should be allowed at metro stations. more
