Not getting Certified Copy of House Registry from Tehsil Office, Ballabgarh
Since the past many months, I have been trying to get a Certified copy of my House Registry from the Tehsil Office, Ballabgarh. They have told me that the file was sent to Chandigarh approx 12 years ago, so, they are unable to give copy of Registry (i have the original and need certified copy for attaching with some application).
1. Can someone guide me on course of action
2. How do i file an RTI?, the RTI office in Ballabgarh Tehsil did not agree to file RTI on 'Information required as to by which date, i can get the certified copy of my house registry'.

Write a RTI (right to information) application addressed to the State public Information Office, Tehsil Offfice,ballabgarh [write PIN code also]. From, [write your address] Sub: My application for certified copy of Registry (copy enclosed) Sir , (1) Full name of the applicant : (2) Address (3) Particulars of information required (Specify the category of subject also): My application dated ...... for certified copy of Registry (copy enclosed) a) Topic: Information on the action taken on a petition submitted by me to .... b) Sub: 1. daily progress made on the application of ..... [your name] submitted on [date] 2. The name and designation of the officials/ officers taking action on the application as above 3. copy of the office note and notings made on the body of my application (4) year to which the information pertains ........ (5) Other relevant reference, if any your signature NOTE: Court fee stamp for Rs.10/- affixed [affix a court fee stamp for Rs 10/- on the RTI application] Send this by registered post or easier still by Speed post with a proof of delivery card tagged along the envelope more

Dear Mr. Ajit, One of the way is to seek copy of registry from the tehsil office under RTI Act 2005. The point can be framed like 1.) Please provide the name and address in whose name the said property is registered and 2) Please provide me the certified copy of the said registery duly signed and stamped as "supplied under RTI Act". Please send the application to PIO alongwith RTI fee and photocopy charges calculated at Rs. 2/- per page stating that any additional fee if required be intimated. more

Kindly write to the CPIO (Chief Public Info Offr) C/O who so ever is the head of the organization even if nobody tells you the name of the official. They only are scared of RTI. If they do not reply within 30 days, raise the level. For more assist see www.howtowriterti. more
