Non refund of Security Amount for the Services not rendered
I had deposited Rs. 499 towards security on 6.3.2018 for installation of Independent TV, but neither they installed it nor refunded My Security. I had lodged the Complaint on https://consumerhelpline.gov.in two times, but every time, they are closing my complaint just saying that Vendor is unable to contact me. I have mailed Independent TV many times, but even then, they are adamant to initiate my refund. Where to go now... Money is not the prime matter, in fact, Our Complaints are scattered and abolished by providing No Solutions. more

I endorse Mr Padmanabhan's example of BSNL. BSNL is capable adjusting the deposit to some unpaid very old more than 5 years) dues for which there are no details and you keep on fighting with no results..... Very unfortunate.... more

In our country Refundable Security Deposit money is taken first for any activity. But when the question of Refund comes, no one is bothered. Examples - : 1. BSNL - worst department - they take deposit, but when the question of refund comes, no one bothers to take action. 2. Gas Deposit : Whether it is Indane, Bharat Gas or Hindustan Petroleum - When one applies for refund of the Deposit money, no gas agency is willing to do the refund. They say the matter has to be referred to the Head Office. If the government agencies ignore the deposit money refund, then this sets a good example for the private organizations. The private organizations are also following the same trend and refuse or ignore to initiate the deposit amount refund. more
