Noida Traffic Signals that are Deadly Zones

Driving across Noida, especially in the newer sectors like 105, 104, 100, 93, 82, 110 one finds many deadly traffic signals where there are no traffic lights.

Whose responsibility is to get this fixed. SSP, DM, Noida Authority, RTO? It cant be anyone other than that.

You are letting people get hurt (and even die in some cases) because you are choosing to ignore this. Why?

Can we all residents identify these deadly traffic signals for you ? more

Bumps should be completely eliminated. Any bump above 150 mm will damage cars. more
Considering the present mess that traffic signals are in all over Noida the following measures will be effective - 1. Make proper speed breaker humps at all intersections on all lanes. These should be about two/three metres long and 30 cm high. The black-yellow plastic types are NOT to be used as they damage vehicles and hurt old and sick people, pregnant ladies and those with back problems. * 2. Make traffic signals fully functional by giving annual maintenance contracts to their manufacturers/suppliers. Heavy fines to be imposed if they are not maintained Traffic police has to be made accountable for this. * 3. Trees/branches should be pruned to ensure that signals are visible from at least 100 metres away. more
It is true that the traffic signals are in a mess in whole of NOIDA and not only the new sectors. But another serious problem is that at least 60-70% of drivers do not follow the traffic signals. Wait at any crossing in Noida and you will find that 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers, 4 wheelers - ALL of them, do not bother about the light. They cross as son as there is some gap even if the light is RED. more
Traffic signals should be distinctly visible with timers. In Noida I have myself observed that these signals are obstructed by so many small sign boards which hamper the clear view of these signals. It is true that due to power failures these signals go off. I learned from someone that the noida traffic police had arranged inverters on prominent traffic lights but this system failed due to theft of power batteries. So the onus lies on the passers by. I have myself observed that almost 90% commuters don't follow traffic signals. They are always in hurry to pass. If any vehicle has stopped at the signal, the vehicle standing behind will push his horns to this disciplined person to move. Finally I have reached to this conclusion that we the commuters are the worst, how educated and well dressed and costly SUV's we are. Unfortunate! more
True , the traffic lights installed at one or two such crossings are non functional most of the time. the crossing at the 93 , 93A , 93B, 92 sees many accidents due to no lights , whereas the crossing on the 93, 92, 85 , 82 rarely works, the traffic in recent months has increased and with commissioning of metro next months it will be increasing much more, The tweets to NOIDA traffic police have been ignored more
